A must-have guide on how to use a paddle or tennis ball pressurizer

Do they tennis ball pressurizers or padel work?

Of course they work. All of them equally. Not for paying more, they are not going to recover faster and they are not going to give better sensations to the ball.

It is a very simple system to increase the internal pressure inside the container, around the balls and thus generate a balance of pressures (internal/external), and by means of a chemical process called Osmosis, a gas exchange will take place.

By how much is the life of the balls multiplied?

The cold/heat, the altitude, the level of play, the sport of Tennis/Padel, the frequency, number of impacts, the quality of the rubber and the surface on which the sport is practiced generate a stress on the balls that increases or decreases the number of times they can be recovered and used.

Regular cleaning and greasing of the TuboPlus should be maintained.

It is important to maintain regular cleaning and lubrication of the TuboPlus.
99.9% of the problems over time of the Pressurizers are solved with a simple cleaning with a paper and a little silicone grease.
Any grain of sand, dirt, ball hair or dirt in the area of the seal or on the walls where the O-ring passes through, leaves an open micro-pore that causes the pressure of the balls to escape little by little, damaging its functionality.
A Tuboplus over time can only lose pressure due to dirt.
The O-ring is the one that stakes and gives the functionality to the product, take care of it, maintain it and change it regularly because it has a wear and tear and gets damaged.

Do the pressurizers have a warranty?

Yes, as required by law. But the TuboPlus are made with high-end materials to not give any problem, and also tested in factory for 96 hours. Not a single product goes out without having been tested and assured that it works beforehand.

How long do I have to keep the balls inside a pressurizer?

The time you do not play between games, or between training sessions. If the product is going to be closed for more than a month, you should open/close it and pressurize it every month as all plastics in the world are porous and may lose some pressure.
In this way you ensure the ideal pressure inside.
Do not start calculating the hours to see if they have recovered well or badly. Every pressurized ball improves, whether it is in the pressurizers for a short or long time. Get the most out of your balls.

What should I buy, manual or with pump?

They are different concepts. Do not rely on the fact that more expensive pressurizers are better, because they are all equally functional. The important thing is that they keep the internal pressure (compressed air) inside.

  1. The manual is economical and functional, but it only maintains the pressure of the balls as do the ball cans that you buy and are pressurized from the factory. The pressure the balls lose during play is not regained, but they are very effective.
  2. The pump-operated TuboPlus not only maintains pressure, but also recovers any pressure that may be lost during play (a 5-10% of pressure). The ball hair wears out and the rubber (which functions as a spring) deteriorates.
