The big showdown in the Italy Major pitted the two best pairs of the moment: Coello-Tapia against Chingotto-Galán.
Ale and Fede started dominating the match, winning the net with regularity and playing with precision and speed. This advantage allowed them to distance themselves on the scoreboard with two breaks of advantage (5-2). Although Arturo and Agus managed to recover a break when they were serving to close the set, it was not enough (6-4).
In the second set, the Spanish-Argentine pair of Coello and Tapia came out with everything, dominating the game and scoring a convincing 6-1, taking the match to the third set.
The deciding set started with opportunities for both pairings, but Ale and Fede were the first to break, gaining confidence. Galan continued to play at a high level and Chingotto executed his strategy perfectly with precise lobs to close the net quickly. This effective combination was reflected in the scoreboard with another 6-1.
Thus, Chingotto and Galán won their fourth title as a couple (fifth for Ale), added 2000 points for winning a Major and now have a 4-3 advantage in direct confrontations against the number one players.
Ari and Paula arrived at Campo Centrale determined to win the title at all costs. They remembered well the dramatic defeat in last year's final at the same venue against Triay-Ortega, which ended 7-5 in the third set. With clear determination, they took to the court in Rome.
From the start, Angel Gonzalez's players showed rhythm, speed and consistency, giving no chance to Patty and Lucia, achieving a convincing 6-1 in just 25 minutes of play.
Marcela Ferrari tried to change the situation from the bench of the number 8 pairing, but Ari and Paula held firm in their strategy. The second set followed the same tone. The number ones continued with their impressive display of padel, closing the match with a 6-0 win in a total of 54 minutes.
Paula commented after the game that "we played the best game of the season," an opinion shared by the spectators. Ari added that this is "one of the most special titles" she has ever won.
It was a fantastic week for the number one women, consolidating their position at the top of the women's rankings.
